France Introduces New Private Jet Tax: What It Means for Your Flights

February 19, 2025-Press-

Starting March 1, 2025, France will implement a new departure tax on private jet passengers as part of its 2025 budget. This tax varies based on aircraft type and flight distance, with rates ranging from €210 to €2,100 per passenger. For domestic flights within France, an additional 10% VAT will apply. Aircraft operators are responsible for collecting this tax, which will be included in the charter cost. Infants are exempt from this tax.

This measure aims to increase tax revenue from private aviation and is aligned with broader efforts to impose higher levies on business aircraft operations.
