New Tax Regulation for Non-Scheduled Flights to Moldova

Chisinau, Moldova – A new regulatory update from Moldovan aviation authorities introduces a non-scheduled flight tax at all airports across the country, including Chisinau International Airport. The policy is applicable to both private and commercial flights, regardless of their purpose.

Advance Permit Notice Requirement

Authorities now require all flight operators planning to land in Chisinau to submit permit requests at least 48 hours in advance (equivalent to two business days). This is a mandatory condition and non-compliance may result in operational delays or denial of landing clearance.

New Flight Tax Overview

  • Applicable To:
    All non-scheduled flights (private or commercial)

  • Tax Amount:
    €2000 + VAT per flight

  • Exemptions:

    • Aircrafts with an MTOW (Maximum Take-Off Weight) less than 2 tonnes

    • Technical landings only (i.e., non-commercial or non-passenger purposes)

  • Payment Method:

    • Payment is to be made directly at the airport office

    • Accepted methods: Cash or Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard)
