Airport Info: Ankara Airport (ANK/LTAD), formerly Etimesgut Air Base, opened June 15, 2026, as the capital’s second aviation hub alongside Esenboğa (ESB). Built ahead of the July 2026 NATO Leaders’ Summit, ANK features an expanded 3,000-meter runway and a 160,000 sqm apron for up to 44 aircraft, serving VIP, diplomatic, and state traffic just 8 km from Ankara’s Presidential Complex.
As a newly commissioned airport, its ground service ecosystem is still scaling up. JetMate Aviation, with offices in Dubai, Istanbul, and Geneva, supports operators at ANK with permits, ground handling, and flight coordination.
